Fine Art printing is a fine art digital printing process combining pigment based inks with high quality archival paper to create art prints of superior archival quality, light fastness and stability.
Our Fine Art (Giclee) prints are created using high resolution large format 12-Colour 44" and 24" high resolution printers using UV stabilised and encapsulated pigment inks. These printers are capable of producing incredibly detailed prints for both the fine art and photographic markets. The printing process provides far better colour accuracy than other means of print reproduction.
Prints are made on archival quality paper, and printed with UV stable pigment inks. The quality of the papers used in a fine art print is very important. Fine art paper mills such as Hahnemuhle, Innova and Canson, who have been producing artist papers for many decades have an extensive range of fine art paper. You can be assured the final print will be of museum quality.
A professional fine art print created using pigment inks can be lightfast for up to 100+ years, depending on the paper type, display and storage conditions. By using pigment based inks, the archival properties of a fine art giclee print is significantly higher than traditional silkscreen or litho prints.
The advantages of our Fine Art Giclee printing service for artists is to reproduce artwork for open or limited edition print sales as required. Once an image is digitally copied, coded and archived, additional reproductions can be made on demand. Archived digital files will not deteriorate in quality. Another advantage of giclee printing is that digital images can be reproduced to almost any size and onto a vast range of media.
